Critical Skills for Critical Care course

Critical Skills for Critical Care course for New Starters to Critical Care Medicine across the region. 

Northern Regional Residents only.     

This course is open to all new starters: ACCS, Core Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine, Foundation trainees as well as Medical Registrars who will be starting their ICM placement.

Interactive & hands-on to provide you with the tools to survive your first on-call as resident on Critical Care.

Please note:   Some critical care units have their own in-house New Starters to Intensive Care Medicine course.    Please check with your college tutor/ICM faculty tutor/rotamaker to ensure you don't miss this.  Our course was launched primarily to help those units that dont have a new starters course.

Our 2-day course will include simulation and workshops to cover a range of topics essential to new starters: • Airway management in ITU • Ventilated patient basics • Shock, vasopressors and inotropes • Arterial and central lines • Post-cardiac arrest care • Managing pain and delirium

Refreshment & Lunch will be provided.
